Source text(s):MS, envelope only, Cyril Clemens Collection, CtHMTH. All of Clemens’s letters to the Gerhardts were sent in envelopes inscribed only to Karl. The enclosed letter (now lost), probably a postscript to the other 31 August letter, was therefore presumably written to both Gerhardts.
