My Dear Young—

[two or three words canceled] is out of [four or five words canceled], tThe prospective pleasure of writing that book grows with the moments; & already I foresee that in the building of that work it I am going to find a delight comparable to going to heaven.

Some time within the next fortnight I want you to name a time when I may run down to New York & get you to tell me again the things you told me yesterday, so that I can correct my notes & put in dates, [&c. Will] you do that?

I spent nearly all night, last night, making notes, & consequently feel all burnt out to-day.

House & I called at the hotel at 11 this morning, but they said you left by the 10. 30 train. You come up, the first chance you get, & give us a chance to try to make you comfortable at this hotel.
