Munich, Feb 9 – 1879

Dear Frank—

Yes, I’m still pegging along at the book, [&] making pretty good [&] steady progress, though I continue to tear up MS. The weather has grown so warm [&] wet here that we begin to fear for the [children’s] health, [&] so we may break up [&] run to Paris shortly. That will make another break [&] a consequent delay, but I hope not a serious one.

Our Paris address will be “Care Monroe & Co. [Bankers.”]

Yes, we calculate upon returning to America next August [&] to Hartford in October.

Yrs Truly

S. L. Clemens
