Dear Peter.

I had sent off a postal to say I could not manage it, as I am to give a lecture at the College on Thursday morning, but here comes your letter of Monday, “later,” & I have teld to you that we, the Dame and I, are coming on Thursday in the 3 P.M. train, (after the lecture here) & will go at once to the hall, as we do not arrive until past 7. Will try and get word to old man Howells and wife to come along. We anticipate a good time at the play & afterwards in H. Hope the weather will be ’eavenly. Kindest regards from both of us to both of you.

Cordially yrs,

J T. Fields
