Boston, Nov. 20.

Friend Medbery—

You must excuse this delay, but I couldn’t get time to answer sooner.

No, I can’t write the Christmas book at any price, because I shall be traveling every day & lecturing every night till that time & beyond. Much obliged to you, though.1

Shall be in New York, Nov. 30, & talk in Brooklyn Dec. 1 & Dec. 4. Can’t you call on a fellow?

Faithfully yrs

Mark Twain.
