Dear Sir—
Your letter of the 10th is received.1 As the illustrations for my book are progressing so well that the electrotyping may be shortly begun, I suppose I may safely calculate upon a call to Har come to Hartford & begin to read proof, within a fortnight. I shall probably remain there several weeks & shall be glad to talk with you. I think it very likely that it will turn out to be just as well to take the California trip before making permanent business arrangements.
With great Respect—
Mark Twain.
